City of Franklin, VA Selects microDATA's xT911

 
  The City of Franklin, VA Police Department selected microDATA’s Next Generation 9-1-1 call handling solution on April 30th, 2008. The solution includes 3 call taker positions and affords the agency numerous benefits including: an integrated map, one button selective transfer and a VoIP-based call handling system aligned with NENA’s i3 standards.

Beech Mountain,NC Deploys xT911

 
  The influx of skiers and hikers puts additional demands on the Beech Mountain Police Department as the number of 9-1-1 calls can increase dramatically overnight. It is official: On April 2, 2008 Kenai Peninsula Borough of Kenai Alaska awarded microDATA the contract to deploy microDATA’s Next Generation 9-1-1 call handling solution, xT911.

microDATA’s call handling solution xT911 was developed with NENA’s i3 specifications at its core. xT911 meets the NENA’s i3 standards that call for PSAP call handling systems to be IP-based, able to process VoIP calls natively from the internet and able to share information fluidly over an IP network.

Paving the Way to NG9-1-1 with LoST
 
  NENA’s i3 standards envision an interconnected ESInet (Emergency Services IP Network) to enable better sharing and distribution of critical data. microDATA’s xLoST Server is one of many new devices tasked with providing location information from the many nomadic IP devices now calling 9-1-1. In short, LoST (Location-to-Service Translation) protocol maps a service identifier to the location information it obtains from a 9-1-1 caller in a PIDF-LO (Presence Information Document Format-Location Object) session.

King County Expands xTrakker Mapping
 
 

King County, Washington’s xTrakker mapping solution is growing. microDATA recently deployed an additional 37 to their already expansive 166 xTrakker map positions. King County today has 203 positions deployed.

Mike Miskanick joins the microDATA sales team. Mike is located in Bradenton, Florida, and supports customers in: Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Mississippi. Mike’s 6+ years in public safety sales and 20+ years in telecommunications consulting/sales experience includes Call Center CTI applications, Remote Alarm Management and E9-1-1 telephony. This coupled with a strong dedication to customer support and consultations make him a valuable asset to microDATA’s growing team of sales support professionals.
